January 2023.
Saint Augustine, Florida.
We spent a few weeks enjoying the sun and cool weather in Saint Augustine at a vacation condo complex called Spanish Trace, recommended by a friend who had wintered there before. Just beyond the complex on Ocean Trace Blvd., a boardwalk carried us over the dunes to the condo’s private beach access, giving us our first clear view of the Atlantic.
Down at the water’s edge, a lone fisherman was casting into the surf. Surf fishing always comes with that kind of promise—maybe pulling redfish from the shallows, a flounder near the rocks, or even spotting a tarpon rolling out in the distance. Whether you catch anything comes down to luck and skill.
About the photo: I captured the moment with my Samsung S20 Ultra, a simple snapshot in JPG format. I uploaded it to Adobe Lightroom Classic to crop and process it. Click on the image to view it on my Flickr site in 2K HD.
I invite fellow bloggers to join in by creating their own Cellpic Sunday posts. There’s no set theme. The first rule: your photo must be captured with a cell phone, iPad, or other mobile device. The second rule: link your challenge response to this post or drop a comment here with your link so others can find it. And remember, despite the name, there’s no penalty for sharing on a day other than Sunday.

Exactly 👍 Early mornings are the best times. ☺️
